In our rhetoric course, your employees learn the most important aspects of rhetoric: correct body language, professional voice leading, confident appearance in front of an audience, convincing argumentation, effective presentation techniques and much more. This course is always a 2-day seminar and practice-oriented: each of your employees has the opportunity to give four speeches in front of an audience and receives individual feedback from the rhetoric trainer. The 2-day rhetoric course has the advantage that on the second day, employees can successfully integrate the feedback of the previous day into their speeches and visibly increase their learning progress. Day 1
9.00 – 10.00 Ten Commandments for the perfect speech and mastering stage fright
The trainer explains the most important principles and basics of rhetoric and the psychological causes of stage fright and gives helpful tips on how to slowly reduce stage fright.
10.00 – 12.00 1. Free speech and individual feedback
Each participant gives a short speech on a topic given by the trainer; followed by professional and honest feedback from the trainer.
12.00 – 12.30 Professional use of body language and voice
The trainer explains how to use body language and voice in support of what is said in order to increase its impact on the audience and how to create a sense of sovereignty.
12.30 – 13.30 - Lunch break -
13.30 – 14.15 The most effective convincing techniques
This is about the most effective scientific-based argumentation techniques — rational, irrational and psychological techniques.
14.15 – 15.00 The most effective logic tricks and how to refute them
In this session we treat the most common logical fallacies and tricks of everyday life and how to refute them with counterarguments.
15.00 – 17.00 2. Free speech and individual feedback
The second speech is a speech on a given thesis; the goal is to apply the learned argumentation techniques into practice.

Day 2
9.00 – 9.15 How to increase self-confidence
The trainer explains the two main aspects of self-confidence and gives helpful tips on how to strengthen both of them through exercises.
9.15 – 9.30 Be authentic? A surprising idea about authenticity
Nowadays, most people want to be authentic. But is it really the right goal? The trainer presents a better alternative.
9.30 – 12.30 Presentation of the prepared speech, answering questions of the audience and individual feedback
At home, you prepared a speech on a provocative claim and now get asked spontaneous and critical questions by the audience.
12.30 – 13.30 - Lunch break -
13.30 – 16.30 One-on-one debate and refuting the opponent — interactive roleplaying
Debating is one of the best ways to train your spontaneity in the process of argumentation. The coach explains why. No debating skills required.
16.30 – 16.45 How to improve your eloquence
Many people would like to be more eloquent. But how do you do that? Read more? The trainer gives you a better advice.
16.45 – 17.00 Literature and exercise tips
With these tips, you can continually train your rhetorical skills after the course/at home.

Our rhetoric trainers are internationally distingueshed speakers. Mr. Jachtchenko is Top speaker in Europe and a quarter-finalist at World Championships , Mr. Witzmann is German champion in Debating championships, a semi-finalist in European Debating Championships. Mr. Dankerl is a quarter-finalist at World Championships and a semi-finalist at the German Debating Championship. Innovative Concept | Argumentorik How many people can participate in a rhetoric course?

We recommend a maximum number of 12 employees, with an unlimited number of people who like to be present as so-called "silent observer". Our goal is to increase each employee's communicative skills on two consecutive days. Our rhetoric trainer gives in-depth feedback on each person's rhetorical challenges after each exercise. A training with only 3-6 participants is obviously much more intense. By the way, at the end of the successful training everybody receives a certificate of attendance.

Practical Excercises | Argumentorik Are there practical exercises included in a rhetoric course?

Yes! Our rhetoric course is explicitly tailored to the everyday practical requirements of your employees. Each employee has the opportunity to complete 4 practical exercises in front of an audience on two days and put into practice what they have learned immediately. These speeches and debates are integrated in the schedule of the seminar and are about putting the learned rhetorical tools immediately into practice. Visible Success | Argumentoriks What is the relationship between theory and practice?

We have been observing for years that the greatest learning effect of our clients lies in practical exercises. And that they regularly regard our exercises as the "highlight" of the seminar. That's why we put a lot of emphasis on practice and pay attention to a distribution of 20% theory and 80% practice. For more information, please take a look at the schedule.

Europe-wide | Argumentorik Do participants also receive video feedback?

We offer to accompany the rhetoric course with a camera. This method has proven to be very useful in the past and has been highly enlightened by our clients, as the video allows for a more detailed analysis of the 4 simulations. If you or individual participants do not want the video analysis, of course we can do without.
